Although most of my remote camera work produces still images, I’ve learned a tremendous amount about elk, deer, coyotes, lions, bears, and many small game through video. The first video I captured was with a Sony S600 camera. You could tell what the animal was doing but the video quality left a lot to be desired. Then I stepped up to a Sony HC40 MiniDV camera. That was a quantum leap forward but after using a Flip Video camera I knew it “might” be possible to hook one of these HD units up to a trail camera board. I have a friend in Michigan helping me out with that project.
