I appreciate the great work that many other wildlife photographers and researchers are doing around the world. I have learned a tremendous amount from several of these individuals. The links below will take you to some of the best work being done with remote cameras. I will also throw in a few of my favorite outdoor resources and places that you might enjoy checking out.

1. Game Camera Photo Logbook

Cliff is an expert when it comes to capturing photos in the lush environment around Mt. Saint Helens in Washington State. Not only are his images incredible but when you read what it takes to capture these
animals with a camera it’s humbling.

2. Camera Trap Codger

Chris Wemmer is a Wildlife Biologist who is extremely talented as a photographer as well as a wildlife consultant. He also has a great sense of humor. You’ll enjoy his site.

3. Are you interested in getting started? Start by having Bob Scriver build you a custom trail camera. Even if you plan to build your own down the road you’ll learn a tremendous amount from Bob and you’ll have a camera that will work time and time again. Plus they are a work of art. I’ve had Bob build several cameras for me.

From Bob:
Trail Camera Building Service

If you think you are not a tecno geek or are convinced you have 10 thumbs then I’m the guy for you. I will work with you to make the Game Camera of your dreams. I have some standard designs which I have used over the years and are very well made and effective. I use Pelican waterproof cases, the best control boards, mostly Sony cameras, and other assorted quality hardware. The cases are finished off in 3D camo and painted in the camo colors that match the trees in your area. Price depends upon the camera design.

Give me a call or email me and we can certainly work out a cam building arrangement that will satisfy your needs.

4. Camtrapper

This is a great site where some of the best trail camera enthusiasts gather to share ideas, results, and buy and sell gear through a classified section. Kudos to Sean Hall, the guy who put in the sweat equity to create this site and puts up with us on a weekly basis.

5. Conservation Media

Once in awhile you find a site that leaves your jaw agape on every page. Check this one out. Jeremy has produced video that rivals anything you’d see from the big boys. Make sure you have a few hours to burn before you click on that link.
